Devonshires Claims, a specialist clinical negligence and personal injury practice, was created following the merger of the well-recognised and long-established Devonshires Solicitors LLP’s Clinical Negligence department with pioneering barrister-led firm PI Law Direct.

Based in central London, the 14-stong team of medical negligence solicitors and experts has over 20 years’ experience and can, handle all types of medical negligence claims as well as larger personal injury claims.

Devonshires Claims

The ‘tenacious’ team at Devonshires Claims is co-headed by Nick Grant, Justin Glenister and ‘force of nature’ Karen Cathcart, who specialises in misdiagnosis, surgical error and birth injury cases and is currently leading a sub-team representing a significant number of children who have suffered harm either before, during or shortly after birth. The team’s caseload often includes such complex matters as hypoxic injury, oncology, amputation and cerebral palsy in children and adults, as well as psychiatric issues and behavioural challenges resulting from negligence. Jeanette Van Cauter has an expansive caseload, and is described as having ‘expertise well beyond most associates’.
